These artifacts should be selected from a variety of categories (e.g., not 6 CDs or 6 photos; not 6 pieces of technology). Also, please do not include a smartphone, though you may include selected items stored in a smartphone (e.g., a single photograph; a particular musical recording; a favorite video game). If you include such an item, bring a photograph or other physical representation of the item you've selected.
In addition, your artifacts should be small enough to bring to class, and fit inside a shoe box or other small container.
